This application helps you locate your lost FPV drone or RC model by mapping its last known GPS coordinates. You can also use your device's GPS to see your current location relative to the target.
Inputting Coordinates
You can input target coordinates in two formats: Decimal Degrees (DD) or Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (DMS). Use the selector at the top of the input area to choose your preferred format.
1. Decimal Degrees (DD) Format
Select "Decimal Degrees" using the format selector.
Target Latitude (DD): Enter the latitude as a decimal number (e.g., 41.909050). Negative values for South, positive for North.
Target Longitude (DD): Enter the longitude as a decimal number (e.g., 11.221718). Negative values for West, positive for East.
2. Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (DMS) Format
Select "Deg/Min/Sec" using the format selector.
Separate input fields will appear for Degrees (°), Minutes ('), Seconds ("), and a direction selector (N/S or E/W) for both Latitude and Longitude.
Degrees: Enter the whole number for degrees. (e.g., 41 for Latitude, 11 or 112 for Longitude).
Minutes: Enter the whole number for minutes (0-59). (e.g., 54).
Seconds: Enter the number for seconds (0-59.999), which can include decimals. (e.g., 32.6).
Direction Selectors:
For Latitude, select N (North) or S (South) from the dropdown.
For Longitude, select E (East) or W (West) from the dropdown.
Show Target on Map: Once valid coordinates are entered (in either DD or DMS format), this button will become active. Click it to see the target location on the map.
Use My GPS & Show Both: This button will attempt to get your device's current GPS location and show both your location (blue marker) and the target location (red marker) on the map.
This feature requires HTTPS and you must grant location permissions to your browser.
GPS accuracy depends on your device and signal.
Open Target in Google Maps: If valid target coordinates are set, this button will open Google Maps centered on the target coordinates in a new tab.
